Jamie first played hurling with his club aged 5. The best advice he was ever given was that it's easier to explain why you lose than why you win, and he believes that first touch is the most important skill in hurling. If he could change anything about the game, he would like to have a second referee. His best hurling memory outside of playing is Newtownshandrum winning the All-Ireland Club Final in 2004, while as a player, the highlight has been winning the County Senior Hurling Final in 2009. Pat Mulcahy is the greatest player he has ever seen, and his favourite sport other than hurling is golf. The person he would most like to meet is Liam McCarthy, and marooned on a desert island, he could not be without Dr. Con!! In ten years time, he hopes to be still playing hurling.
