Seamus plays hurling with his native club St. Ita's who are based in Gortroe, near Youghal. He first played hurling at the age of 6 in his club grounds at Pilmore, and considers fielding and first touch to be the most important skills of the game. If he could change anything about hurling, he would like to see two points awarded for a sideline, and his best hurling memories outside of playing are Cork's All-Ireland wins in 1999 and 2004. As a player, the highlight has been winning the Fitzgibbon Cup with UCC. His favourite sport other than hurling is soccer, and as a child, he wanted to be a jockey!Joe Deane and Joe Canning are the greatest players he has ever seen. The people he would most like to meet are Mila Kunis and Cristiano Ronaldo, and marooned on a desert island, he could not do without a playstation or a slice of pavlova!
