Biography

Occupation: teacher, Alan is a brother of Cork senior footballer Eoin. He first played Hurling in Douglas Street Leagues at the age of six, and believes that the first touch is the most important skill in hurling. Biggest influence on his hurling career are his parents, Brother and club. . His best sporting memory outside of playing is Cork winning the All Ireland in 2010, while as a player, to date is his favourite moment in sport is winning the Munster hurling title in 2014.His favourite sport other than hurling is football, A sporting event he would most like to attend? MMA fight in Croke Park, favourite venue: Thurles or Croke Park, favourite G.A.A. player: Sean Og or Ben O Connor, sportsperson he would most like to meet is Conor McGregor or AP McCoy, the hardest part of his sporting life, finding a good balance, toughest player to mark in training any of the backs as they don't give you an inch, the joker on the panel is Pat Keane!!!, If he won the lotto first thing he would do is repay his parents for all his college fees!!,favourite holiday destination is New York, favourite food is anything his mother cooks him!!!, favourite Drink: coffee, favourite music he like is a variety of anything and in ten years' time, hopes to be still playing GAA at the highest level, One thing you may not know about him, he is good at FIFA ( Just ask Shane O Donoghue)
