Biography

Conors works as Market Analyst at Laya healthcare. Schools/College Attended included Glanmire Community College and UCC. Position -Corner Back. Conor, from the Sarsfields club based in Riverstown, first played hurling on Saturday mornings with coach James Barry. He cites his parents and grandparents as the strongest influences on his career, and considers his greatest achievement to be winning two County Senior Hurling Championships with his club. The players he most admires are Wayne Sherlock, J.J. Delany and Brian Corcoran because they were such good defenders. His biggest disappointments include not winning a County U21 with Sars. His best hurling memory outside of playing was watching Sars win the minor county with his father as manager and his brother playing, and if there was a transfer market in hurling, he would buy Joe Canning. Conor relaxes away from sport by watch tv and films. The sporting event he would most like to attend is the Champions league/World Cup final. Favourite G.A.A. player: Wayne Sherlock/Richie Hogan. The sportsperson he would most like to meet is Lionel Messi. The hardest part of your sporting life is Winter training, time away from family and friends and being unable to plan holidays/social events. Toughest player to mark in training is Pete Zahut.
