Cork Stars at Easter Camps!
Though temperatures are very low, participation levels at this week's Easter camps are high. Of course the chance to meet inter county players is always an attractive option. Brian Murphy GDA was on hand Tuesday in Blarney to give the children some expert advice to improve their game but also to sign autographs and pose for some coveted pictures. With over 100 children present for the 2 day camp, it was the icing on the cake for a very enjoyable camp in Blarney. The club will now be turning their attention to the Kelloggs Cul Camp which will be coming up in July.Cork GAA stars such as Patrick Horgan, Paudie O Sullivan and Patrick Cronin ran a camp in the North Mon pitches Wednesday and Thursday. 50 children were lucky enough to have such a list of household names present for the sessions and despite the cold conditions, everyone had an enjoyable experience.Indeed this group of players may be looking to run further camps around the county during the summer months so that players from all over the county will get the chance to meet these stars at local venues. More details to follow on this.
If your club is running an Easter Camp this week and would like to have it profiled on this website, then please forward some photos and a brief report to kevin.ocallaghan.gm.cork@gaa.
If your club has not got a camp arranged for the Easter period, it may still not be too late.Contact your local GDA and he may be able to help you on organising a 1 or 2 day event next week at your club grounds if you feel that children may be interested in taking part.
