Rebel Og Golf Classic on May 16th / 17th

You are cordially invited to the official Launch of the Rebel Óg Academy Cork GAA Golf Classic at the Castlemartyr Golf Resort on this Monday afternoon, 15th April 2013 at 17.00...

"The Rebel Óg Cork GAA Golf Classic takes place in the Castlemartyr Golf Club on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th May 2013. The Castlemartyr Golf Resort is set amongst 220 acres of woodland and lakes. An impressive parkland course, Castlemartyr will pose an enjoyable challenge for contestants".

This promotion is undertaken by Coiste na nÓg to support the Rebel Og Academy programmes. The Development Squad model has undergone significant restructuring in the past year and the new approach which commenced in October 2012 has seen Cork G.A.A. form strategic alliances with the U.C.C. Mardyke Arena and the Cork Institute of Technology sports facilities

Our objective is to provide the very best opportunities for our future inter county players in their preparations and development.

We ask you to lend your support to this worthy cause by taking part in the golf classic and entering a team.

Attached for your attention is an application form with entry details. Entries may also be sent directly to the undersigned by return.

Mercy Hospital Rebel Og Fun Walk on April 27th

All members of CIT, Mardyke and Rebels squads from U15 to U17 have now received sponsorship cards, with a target of €100 set for each player.

Cards have been given out to most players at previous camps and there has been a great response so far.

Please note the following points:

  • 50% of proceeds go to the Mercy Hospital charity with the other 50% going to Rebel Og.
  • All monies raised for Rebel Og will be ring-fenced for the provision of playing gear for members of the squads listed above.
  • All players who fundraise will receive the same gear allocation.
  • If some players fail to reach the target there will be no repercussions in term of their membership of panels or gear.
  • If some players surpass the target, it will be to the benefit of their colleagues.
  • Also the distribution of gear does not guarantee future membership of panels. That will be decided, as ever, on the field of play.
  • The budget for gear is well in excess of the targets set. Therefore Rebel Og will be making a significant contribution to the cost of gear also.
  • Finally, many thanks for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all for the walk on April 27th, when cards and money will be collected.
  • Further details on the walk will follow in the near future.
