Busy Weekend for U10s!
2013-04-19 18:41:00
The activity begins at 10am in Skibbereen, Clonakilty, Kilmichael, Whitechurch, Carrigtwohill and Fermoy.
Under the guidance of the county GDA's, coaches have been attending workshops to help improve their coaching standards in advance of the blitzes. This Saturday is the first day that coaches will be able to assess how their players are improving and also to try out players in different positions.
The blitzes are primarily fun and participation based with no scores being recorded and every player getting the opportunity to play which is in keeping with International best practice at this age group.
With the games being 9 a side, every player should get meaningful touches of the ball which will add to their enjoyment of the day.
Even the weather looks like playing its part in making this a great occasion for all parents, players and coaches attending.
Coiste Oiliúna would especially like to thank the host clubs for making their facilities available for the day. Their support is much appreciated.
