COACHING AND GAMES ACTIVITY THIS WEEK
A summary of the main activities being worked on this week are as follows :

TUESDAY
The start of the u13 and u14 City School of Hurling Camp in Pairc Ui Rinn.
Skills being thought include striking, hooking, blocking, basic tactical plays and basic mobility and strength exercises.
Over 80 players attending and Lorcan McLoughlin was on hand to pass on words of advise to the eager players.
The (Muskerry/Carrigdhoun/Carbery) West Hurling u14 squad had a training session with Martin Coleman GDA in Ballinhassig.

WEDNESDAY
Brinny is the venue for the Muskerry/Carrigdhoun u13 coaching clinic with Martin Coleman GDA. This is part of a 4 week coaching programme where all clubs are asked to send players.
Doneraile will host the (Avondhu/Duhallow) North Region u 13 hurling coaching clinic which is being led by inter county star, Brian Murphy GDA. He is ably assisted by Noel Crowley, GPO and Seamus Murphy Mallow who is also Primary Schools Coach in the North Region for the Avondhu Board.
The West Region U13 football programme is back again after a 2 week lay off.
The focus over the next 3 weeks will be on developing game sense.
The Beara u13s will be called to action later in the day with James MacCarthy visiting to introduce a similar games based session as done earlier in the day in Clonakilty.

THURSDAY
Day 2 of the City School Of Hurling and a more games based approach to skill development will be in order so that players can implement the skills that were developed on Tuesday. A further visit from an inter county player is looking likely and it will cap off a wonderful 2 days coaching for the 80+ players attending.

FRIDAY
Cloughduv is the venue for the u13 Carrigdhoun/Muskerry School of Hurling session. This session will be run by Martin Coleman GDA.
Mallow will see the North Region u 13 football sessions commence having been rained off last week due to the weather.

SATURDAY
The Monster Blitzes continue, with this weekend featuring the u8 football in Venues (i). Whitechurch, Kilmichael, Fermoy, Dromtarriffe, Clonakilty and Carrigtwohill
There will be over 500 boys taking part in what, so far, has been one of the most successful projects run this year by Cork Coaching and Games.
Any clubs wishing to enter, should contact their local GDA for further details.

Finally, just a reminder to all clubs that the LEE FLAG Scheme is back up and running and any clubs who wish to achieve the targets and qualify as finalists should be reviewing the targets at this point and liaising with the local GDA to ensure they are moving towards fulfilling all the criteria.
