Coaching Courses: Foundation (Online) and Award 1 2014-01-09 07:00:00

Online Hurling Foundation Coaching Course 2014
 
You can now do the theory part of a foundation course online over the course of 10 days and complete the practical module on a weekend with all the online students.
A typical Foundation course takes up to 8 hours to complete. With the online course you can go at your own pace over the course of a few days and have the theory completed in advance of the practical. The practical session is 4 Hours and everyone is to complete it to get a certificate.  Please note a few things about completing the course:
There are 7 E-Learning Modules and a Practical Module - 
1. Introduction (Online)
2. Understanding Your Role (Online)
3. Physical Movement Skills (Online)
4. Developing Hurling Skills (Online
5. Games as a Coaching Tool (Online)
6. Coaching Children, Youths and Adults (Online)
7. Conclusion (Online)
8. Practical Coaching Module â€“ 10am Saturday 18th Details below
Each of the E-Learning Modules should be done in order and each one should take approximately 30mins to complete. Each Module should be completed in one sitting. Many of the modules contain quizes or tests. In most cases these quizes can be repeated as often as you want. You must have completed all E-Learning Modules before attending the Practical Module.
 
To book a place on the course email Sean (details below) before 5pm Saturday 11th January and you will then receive further details along with password etc.
The online course must be completed before 5pm Friday 17th January
Practical module is in Carrigtwohill Community centre outdoors on the astro pitch.
It costs €20 to do the course and is to be paid on the morning of practical session.

There are two Award 1 courses being run over the next 2 months. Please note that you must have already done the Foundation course to get on the course. The demand is high and already the courses are nearly full. To book a place, email Sean below. Payments must be made in advance to secure place on course
