Ráiteas Cuspóra Scór

‘’Is mian le Scór a bheith dílis do mhianta Chumann Lúthchleas Gael agus tacaíocht bheo a thabhairt do rincí, ceol agus amhránaíocht thraidisiúnta na hÉireann agus do na gnéithe eile a bhaineann lenár gcultúr dúchasach. Déantar sin trí chomórtais éagsúla ar ard-chaighdeán a reachtáil ag leibhéil ógánaigh agus dhaoine fásta, comórtais a spreagfadh páirtíocht, uileghabhálacht agus as a mbainfeadh siad siúd a bheadh páirteach iontu lánsásamh. Úsáidfear an Ghaeilge chun cur leis na himeachtaí sin agus maisiú a dhéanamh orthu. Cothóidh sé eolas ar na hidéil náisiúnta agus dúil iontu trína chuid clubanna, sa bhaile agus i gcéin, a chabhródh chun misneach a mhúscailt sa phobal.’’

Cumann Lúthchleas Gael has never just been about our games. Since the earliest days of the Association there has been a special emphasis on our cultural and linguistic obligations and these are responsibilities that we do not take lightly. The vibrancy of Scór is the most obvious embodiment of the value we place on our cultural activities and I laud those clubs who wholeheartedly embrace the promotion of Irish pastimes, both competitively and socially. My fervent wish is that our people, young and not so young, enjoy the atmosphere and grasp the opportunity to socialise, make new friends and have ‘’real craic’’ ag na Comórtaisí Scór.

Ba mhaith liom buíochas a ghabháil leis na Coistí Scór ar fud na tíre a d’eagraigh na comórtaisí, gan dearmad a dhéanamh ar na hiomaitheoirí/competitors, tuistí, múinteoirí, teagascóirí/coaches, moltóirí, fearaibh/mnáibh tí, máistrí na gceist, bainisteoirí stáitse, riarthóirí fuaime/sound technicians, coistí sóláistí/refreshments committees, clubanna, na hionaid, agus dar ndóigh, gach éinne a thug tacaíocht. Molaim sibh!

Coiste Náisiúnta Scór, fully understands and appreciates, and are immensely grateful for the tremendous efforts being put in by Scór competitors, their mentors and parents, as well as club, divisional, county and provincial officials. The time invested in getting an act to an All-Ireland final is certainly on a par with that put in by any player on any team.

Those who take to the stage are representing their clubs, their families and indeed their counties and provinces, with distinction.

They are indeed fantastic ambassadors and help in no small way to bring the Scór gospel to the wider GAA community, who may not have grasped fully the fantastic work this facet of our Association is doing to promote our culture, our language and our traditional values. Molaim sibh!
